So You Think filly Almost An Angel has created an immediate racetrack impression with a last-to-first win on debut at Caulfield.

The two-year-old, ridden by Luke Nolen, let go with a powerful sprint to post a two-length victory against five rivals.
“You never know with a first timer, but she showed us plenty of speed for So You Think, because as you know they can take a bit of time,” trainer Robbie Griffiths said.
“We were surprised how well she came on from the jumpouts, so she was ready to go.
“She’s not that big, but she has plenty of heart and she tries really hard in her gallops. Everything she does, she wants to do it, so it’s a good sign for a filly.”
Almost An Angel was a $30,000 Magic Millions purchase for Griffiths Racing/Peter Ford Thoroughbreds from the Alma Vale Thoroughbreds draft.
Griffiths will give Almost An Angel her chance in the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes (1000m) on November 29.
